The Warehouse Operations Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring warehouse operations are executed accurately and efficiently to deliver excellent service to our customers. Supporting the Warehouse Operations Manager, the Warehouse Operations Supervisor ensures daily operations are carried out safely and according to procedure. The Warehouse Operations Supervisor ensures the warehouse team is well trained, competent, and motivated. The Warehouse Operations supervisor effectively identifies and resolves various issues that occur during daily operations and works to ensure continuous improvement.
Job Responsibility:
Oversees and supervises a work group to meet company goals
Provides leadership to assigned personnel through effective goal setting, performance reviews, delegation, and communication
Conducts interviews, hiring, and training, as necessary
Supports all company Health, Safety, Environment, Energy and Quality Management System programs to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements
Conducts regular meetings to ensure personnel are well informed of policies and procedures, expectations, and goals
Accurately prepares, maintains, and communicates detailed reports
Ensures excellent customer service and communication
Other responsibilities and/or projects as assigned by leadership
Requirements:
Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
5 years’ experience in a related field such as warehousing or logistics
at least 2 years’ supervisory experience, or a verifiable equivalent combination of education and experience
Inventory control experience including cycle counting, inventory reconciliation and replenishment, and organization
Demonstrated ability to investigate and solve warehouse operational issues such as inventory discrepancies and damaged and/or incorrect shipments
Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, dock plates, etc.
Excellent computer skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel
Nice to have:
Experience in the pharmaceutical industry a plus
Microsoft D365 and Master Control experience is a plus
