Job Description:

Operates a variety of equipment, including forklifts, conveyors, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks, to move materials, parts, assemblies, and finished products within a plant, office, or warehouse. Works under general to limited supervision, adhering to clearly defined Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality guidelines.

Job Responsibility:

  • Move materials, parts, assemblies, and finished products or goods using various equipment such as forklifts, conveyors, cranes, and power trucks
  • Maintain records of materials and goods moved within the facility
  • Apply basic knowledge and skills to complete routine tasks following prescribed steps and procedures
  • Perform tasks within defined SOPs and scientific methods, ensuring adherence to quality guidelines
  • Work in a metrics-driven environment, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently
  • Follow safety guidelines and procedures, especially when operating equipment and handling heavy loads

Requirements:

  • One (1) year of recent Electric Pallet Jack warehouse experience or related experience and/or training
  • Effective communication skills to interact with co-workers and supervisors
  • Ability to read, write, interpret, and comprehend documents written in English
  • Basic math skills for performing calculations
  • General computer skills for data entry and record-keeping
  • Ability to operate in a metrics-driven environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain appropriate licenses, training, and certifications as needed
  • Physical ability to perform job duties in varying conditions, including exposure to moving mechanical parts, extreme weather, vibration, and moderate to loud noise levels
  • Willingness to work in environments with no air conditioning in summer and limited heating in winter
