Are you a highly organized logistics professional who bridges the gap between technical systems, heavy equipment operation, and people leadership? On behalf of our client, we are seeking a dynamic Warehouse Operations Lead to anchor their Ontario distribution network. This role requires a true "Lead Hand"—someone who can confidently master and roll out a new Warehouse Management System (WMS), manage multi-site 3PL freight tracking, safely operate specialized forklifts, and foster a highly productive, positive team culture on the floor. If you excel in a fast-paced environment and love driving efficiency, this opportunity is for you.
Job Responsibility
Master the new Warehouse Management System (WMS) inside and out, acting as the internal super-user to train floor staff, build user confidence, and troubleshoot technical gaps
Oversee the daily processing, tracking, and seamless organization of incoming and outgoing freight across multiple 3PL fulfillment locations in Ontario
Analyze daily floor workflows to identify operational bottlenecks
actively restructure processes to maximize internal productivity and reduce reliance on temporary general labor
Maintain tight inventory control and maximize warehouse layout efficiency across active distribution sites and static stock storage locations
Safely and efficiently operate counter-balance forklifts (both propane and electric units) and electric reach trucks to load, unload, and stage cargo as needed
Step into various floor functions flexibly based on shifting daily demands—from processing high-volume container shipments to auditing order fulfillment stations
Provide clear, constructive, and respectful direction to warehouse personnel. Actively foster a collaborative, non-aggressive team culture focused on shared accountability and safety
Requirements
Strong experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
prior experience acting as a system trainer, implementation lead, or super-user is highly preferred
Proven track record of tracking and organizing freight movements across a distributed, multi-site network
Demonstrated ability to evaluate floor workflows, implement lean processes, and drive labor efficiency
Valid, current certifications to operate Counter-balance forklifts (Propane & Electric) and Electric Reach Trucks are required
Ability to lift heavy cargo safely and adapt to a high-volume, dynamic floor environment
You believe in a collaborative, non-aggressive leadership style that builds trust and maintains high accountability without creating tension on the floor
You pivot seamlessly from analyzing data and training staff on computers to jumping onto a forklift or auditing a packing line
You look at a warehouse floor and naturally see ways to save time, reduce waste, and improve organization
What we offer
Competitive salary / hourly rate (commensurate with experience)
A pivotal role with high visibility, serving as the core implementation leader for new warehouse technologies
