Boundless is looking for an experienced warehouse manager to join our MN team! This role will be responsible for efficiently managing and productively operating a warehouse facility and activities related to the storage and distribution of promotional merchandise. This role is responsible for inventory management and order fulfillment for ongoing client programs and special projects.
Job Responsibility:
Manage and perform activities related to new and existing fulfillment programs and special projects
Advise on best practices to ensure efficient warehouse operations and accurate order fulfillment
Laise with internal teams to facilitate onboarding of new programs and special projects, including quoting fees according to internal pricing policies and setting up associated product and fulfillment processes to ensure successful program/project execution
Planning, organizing, and directing internal resources through completion of projects
Managing relationships with sales personnel and other internal teams to facilitate client programs, projects, and special requests
Review and monitor profit and loss statements for warehouse operations each month
Maintain a consistent organizational system whereby products in the warehouse can be easily located and readily accessed
Maintain all areas of the warehouse, including storage, shipping and receiving areas, to ensure cleanliness and safety
Monitor all warehouse activity to ensure inventory and process controls are followed and company assets are maintained
Order and maintain appropriate stock of warehouse supplies
Order and maintain appropriate stock of general supplies for restrooms, kitchen, and first aid
Ensure warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, dock doors, etc.) are maintained in working order as required by local and/or OSHA guidelines
Ensure fire extinguishers are maintained per local guidelines
Monitor and manage physical inventory of all products in warehouse
Ensure all physical inventory is safely stored per client specifications
Manage and perform physical inventory counts (cycle counts) to ensure accurate inventory availability and inventory-on-hand reporting
Ensure all incoming product shipments are received accurately and timely
Consistently record inventory received to ensure accurate inventory-on-hand counts
Work with internal resources to update inventory in appropriate systems and software (online store platforms and/or NetSuite) to allow for accurate accounting of client inventory
Hands-on ownership of accurate order fulfillment and inventory transactions
Process customer orders timely by picking merchandise from inventory and packing orders for shipment, as well as shipment label and manifest processing via third-party shipping software (ShipStation, UPS, Fed Ex, etc.)
Ensure freight carrier shipping labels are printed and placed on orders per specifications to ensure timely delivery
Prepare and print applicable customs paperwork for international orders to ensure shipments meet various country requirements and international orders clear customs and are delivered within a reasonable timeframe
Assist in ad hoc order fulfillment and special project tasks, as needed
Utilize appropriate computer systems and software (ShipStation, Microsoft Office, etc.) to process orders efficiently and accurately
Assist with quoting fulfillment fees for special projects and new program business
Provide accurate reports for ongoing programs and/or special projects for invoicing clients accurately
Directly supervise full-time, part-time, and temporary warehouse staff in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws
Plan and direct the work of all warehouse staff
Approve timesheets, overtime, and manage paid time off calendars for warehouse staff
Train staff on applicable warehouse processes and procedures, as needed
Ensure applicable staff certifications (i.e.: forklift operator certifications) are kept up to date and in compliance with government regulations and guidelines
Appraise performance of warehouse staff, as well as rewarding and disciplining employees, as needed
Address complaints, resolve problems and escalate ongoing issues to HR, as needed
Assist with the interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of warehouse staff, as needed
Own relationships with freight carrier local representatives (FedEx, UPS, USPS, LTL, Int’l freight, etc.)
Requirements:
Minimum of a high school diploma
At least 5 years of hands-on warehouse, fulfillment, distribution, and/or logistics related experience
Proficiency in basic computer skills, including typing, email correspondence (Microsoft Outlook), word processing (Microsoft Word), spreadsheet (Microsoft Excel) and third-party shipping software (ShipStation, UPS, Fed Ex, etc.)
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with clients, sales partners, and/or employees of company
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Ability and experience to work in a fast-paced environment with high level of accuracy and integrity
Highly organized with demonstrated multi-tasking ability
Independent strong self-starter and interpersonal skills
Experience with customer service and ecommerce-type order fulfillment
The employee must regularly lift and/or move 30 to 60 pounds
