Job Description:

Join and Lead a High-Performing Logistics Operation. I’m working with a major European manufacturer and distributor and trusted leader in their industry, known for delivering exceptional quality and service. They now looking for a highly capable Warehouse & Logistics First Line Manager (FLM) to take ownership of our outbound warehouse and transport operations, ensuring smooth, efficient, and service-driven performance across our supply chain. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced logistics professional who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys leading people, and is motivated by driving continuous improvement.

Job Responsibility:

  • Managing all aspects of dispatch, from loading and unloading to returns processing
  • Overseeing load manifests, stock accountability, and resourcing plans
  • Leading the warehouse team day to day, ensuring strong performance in stock management, picking accuracy, and factory-out processes
  • Planning and optimising driver routes and schedules
  • Ensuring vehicle maintenance, inspections, and repair schedules are adhered to
  • Managing drivers and driver’s mates day-to-day
  • Maintaining agreed delivery SLAs while keeping fleet utilisation within budget
  • Daily engagement and leadership of warehouse operatives, drivers, and driver’s mates across the operation
  • Acting as the key link between warehousing, production outbound, sales, and transport teams
  • Investigating, validating, and reporting on daily inventory and service KPIs, driving improvement actions where required
  • Ensuring a high-quality service experience for all internal and external customers

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar Warehousing and/or Transport leadership role
  • Solutions-focused with a proactive, “can-do” attitude
  • Strong attention to detail with solid analytical ability
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain long-standing, positive working relationships
  • Demonstrable accountability, with a track record of taking ownership
  • Able to collaborate effectively across multiple departments
