We are looking for a Warehouse Lead to join our team in the Portland area. In this role, you can expect to assist the supervisor and oversee warehouse workers. Load and/or unload trucks. Receive, check, store, count and distribute inventory of all types in accordance with established systems, procedures and methods. Schedules are typically Monday - Friday starting at 6:00am, 8–10-hour shifts with occasional Saturdays. Starting pay is $25.75/hr.
Job Responsibility
Assist the supervisor and oversee warehouse workers
Load and/or unload trucks
Receive, check, store, count and distribute inventory of all types
Assist supervisor in management of warehouse/location operational responsibilities
Maintain safe and positive work environment in compliance with OSHA, company standards, and local, state and federal requirements
Lead the warehouse team
Assign job tasks according to shipping schedules
Work as a warehouse team member and perform tasks necessary to meet warehouse goals
Accurately complete all necessary paperwork
Manage day to day inventory levels
Maintain Forklift certification
Schedule work for specials and periodic inventories
Trace history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommend remedial actions
Train, support, guide Warehouse workers
May be responsible for management and timely execution of daily receiving and shipping load board
May be required to hold daily team meetings with teams
Stack and arrange product on pallets
Complete forklift and pallet jack inspections before each shift
Replenish stock while maintaining a cleaned and organized warehouse/location daily
Move product in warehouse/location as necessary during reallocations of space or taking of inventory
Rotate product and arrange according to Julian dates or FIFO
Receive and check against receiving documents incoming product
Assist in planning layout of location/warehouse/storage area
Operate electric forklifts and pallet jacks
Work in and out of freezers (temperatures average 32 degrees to –25 degrees)
General support of production
Required to wear hairnet, smock (freezer suits optional), steel toed boots, overshoes, earplugs, and gloves
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Prefer high school diploma or GED
3-4 years of warehouse, manufacturing or production experience
One year of shift lead experience with sound, effective communication skills
Maintain forklift certification. Must have standing forklift experience
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
Ability to work in production/warehouse environment with constant exposure to loud machinery
Ability to work in extreme temperatures, both indoors and outdoors
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
