Job Description:

The inventory control clerk is responsible for resolving any issues with the distribution center inventory from Order selection, replenishment, and receiving. Position includes operating mobile powered equipment and working in a warehouse environment with seasonal temperature changes.

Job Responsibility:

Sort daily reports and distribute them to appropriate Inventory personnel
Make necessary adjustments to inventory by completing Inventory Transaction forms
Audit daily all previous day's purchase orders and research discrepancies
Check Item Backup Report for credits and take necessary action
Take physical inventories as requested by Management
Perform scanning functions and make adjustments
Conduct Cycle Counts as required
Review merchandise with expiration dates and expedite Return-To-Vendor procedure
Operate turret trucks, fork trucks, order pickers when required
Review new items reports daily to identify items to be slotted
Weigh and measure all new items received
Allocate home and pick locations for new items
Monitor merchandise velocity reports
Remove discontinued merchandise from locations

Requirements:

1-2 years' experience in Inventory Control in a warehouse environment
High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Ability to operate (to height of 40 feet) and be certified as an operator of fork trucks and other powered mobile equipment
Detail oriented with above average math aptitude
Ability to operate a calculator and other office equipment
Normal eyesight (natural or corrected)
Regular and Reliable attendance

Ability to interact on a professional level with all support areas (internal and external)
Ability to cross-train and perform to standard in various functions and on various equipment
