Job Description

Randstad Canada is hiring for a Material Handler in the Milton Ontario area for one of our leading clients in the electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing industry. The material handler will be responsible to process inbound, outbound and internal material for Satellite, Customer and site orders. In this position you will receive and inspect all incoming materials for warehouse and Work-in-Process (WIP) while maintaining company WIP database. In addition, the material handler will pack, weigh and load trucks for all outbound materials. You will maintain balances and on-hand accuracy for the warehouse. The location is on Industrial Road, Milton Ontario. This is a full-time position at 40 hours per week with opportunity for overtime. Starting wage is $22/hr. Schedule: Monday to Friday 7am-3:30pm or 3:30pm-12:00am

Job Responsibility

  • Inspect and verify inbound material for condition, quantity, and correctness
  • Accurately pick and process outbound orders
  • Move and pick up material from other departments
  • Complete all necessary paperwork
  • Complete inventory cycle counts
  • Complete replenishment tasks
  • Assist with error investigation and resolution related to inventory and receiving errors
  • Use computer programs for information and database updates
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Must have a valid lift truck license with experience in the following: Counter balance
  • Order picker with fall arrest
  • Reach truck

  • Obtain work schedule from supervisor, obtain supplies required to perform the work and prepare for operations
  • Inspect and verify order with bill of lading, unload pallets, barrels and combos of supplies (meat, beans, TVP, tomato paste, chilies, chili sauce) with a forklift
  • Hand stack materials on pallets when needed
  • Check production schedule and stage raw materials in freezer, cooler and production staging areas for next day’s production
  • Monitor the unloading of bulk products as required
  • Rotate goods in the warehouse
  • perform inventory counts and double stack pallets of supplies as required
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in work area and on the forklift and charge battery on forklift as needed
