Requirements

6+ years' work experience in warehousing
Supervisory experience managing a team
Ability to work on feet and carry objects weighing up to 70lbs
Ability to complete forklift certification
Team player, goal oriented, and be self-motivated
Computer experience in MS Office
Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Job Responsibility

Maintain facility safety policies and procedures for all employees
Maintain clean and organized warehouse and proper equipment operation
Identify and resolve safety problems within the warehouse and with individual warehouse employees
Establish operational procedures for warehouse
Cross train employees between all warehouse job titles
Monitor attendance and reassign warehouse duties as needed
Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee performance
Address employee complaints and resolve problems maintaining a team environment and report to direct supervisor as needed
Help complete warehouse task as needed to meet branch schedules
Build morale and group commitments to goals and objectives

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or similar area or work experience equivalent
Three to five years of logistics experience
Being able to handle various schedule changes from customers or suppliers
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Be a self-starter and consistently communicate in a team environment
Flexible and able to respond rapidly to any changes in logistical schedule
Meticulous attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Job Responsibility

Receive orders from customers stating what type of product to be used and when final product is needed
Maintain food safe loading and unloading areas
Coordinate with Production Manager to determine the order of production to meet customer requirements and dates
Maintaining a customer service relationship with all customers, suppliers and vendors
Continually review work orders keeping both production and customers up to date on any changes necessary to the production order and/or off loading
Use appropriate databases and spreadsheets to maintain an accurate record of all components of the logistical process
Ensure adherence to procedures and policies, including GMP, HAACP and food safety requirements
Conduct regular internal auditing to ensure food safety compliance
Maintain and develop positive business relationships with customers
Able to effectively communicate any changes to the delivery schedule to the customer
