NAPA Auto Parts is seeking a skilled and energetic Warehouse Equipment Operator to join our growing team of professionals. Our equipment operators perform many different tasks; for example, receiving, replenishing, picking, and loading product as it is picked.
Job Responsibility:
Load, unload, move, stack and stage product and materials using power equipment
Maintain Equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion
Perform daily inspection on assigned equipment
Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations
Efficiently stack and store the product in the appropriate areas
Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and ready for shipment
Efficiently move product from staging and/or storage areas into trailers or containers
Operate all equipment, Reach Truck, Order Selector, Double Walkie Rider, Forklift in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods and OSHA standards
Ensure inbound and outbound shipment are accurate and free of damage
Report quality variances as needed
Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee that inventory control and security are maintained
Assist in physical inventories
Ensure proper stock rotation
Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area
Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse
Comply with OSHA and other applicable standards
Report issues and problems to Management
Support and abide by the company’s safety program and all safety initiatives, policies and procedures
Must meet job standards, which may change as equipment, materials and procedures change to allow for improvements or additional responsibilities for this position
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required
6 months prior work experience is a plus
6 months of prior Powered Industrial Equipment preferred
Able to speak clearly and listen attentively
Capable of recognizing and distinguishing letters and numbers (both visually and orally) and remembering their sequence
Should have basic computer usage skills
Stamina to stand and walk for the entire work shift
Ability to lift and carry objects of varying weights, typically 25 to 50 pounds or more
Capability to push and pull carts, pallet jacks, or other equipment loaded with materials
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, often for the duration of a shift
Capacity to bend, stoop, squat, and reach to retrieve items
Can climb ladders or stairs to access elevated storage areas
Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers
Ability to use hands and fingers to handle small objects, operate machinery controls, and perform tasks requiring precision
Ability to perform repetitive tasks
Physical endurance to work in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to following safety protocols and guidelines
