Job Description

The Department Lead is responsible for real time analysis, coordination and balance of Department Operations including allocation of tasks. Under direct supervision of the DC Department Managers. Work is performed within standard policies and procedures with opportunity for unreviewed decision-making.

Job Responsibility

  • Real time analysis, coordination and balance of Department Operations including allocation of tasks
  • Recording and reporting of inbound/outbound deliveries
  • Provides support in reporting, researching and resolving issues that occur in the interface between host system and WMS in a timely manner
  • Ensure all tasks are completed accurately and on time
  • Provides administrative support for the Department Managers
  • Develops and maintains a working knowledge and understanding of all needed systems
  • Support Picking, Loading and other operations as needed

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of warehouse experience including leadership experience in a warehouse environment
  • Skilled at multi-tasking and managing competing priorities
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, SAP and Red Prairie
  • Detail oriented and accurate
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly recognize and diagnose trend and patterns in productivity data
  • Must be able to work flexible hours determined by the needs of the department including weekends and evenings
  • Ability to communicate proactively and effectively including comprehending and communicating detailed instructions, reading and writing, and having knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures as required by the position
  • Must be at least 18 years old to be considered for employment
