Job Description:

We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Warehouse Clerk to join our team in Wood Dale, Illinois. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of shipping and receiving processes in a well-organized warehouse environment. This is a long-term contract position within the manufacturing industry, offering an excellent opportunity for candidates with strong organizational and logistical skills.

Job Responsibility:

Coordinate shipping and receiving activities with precision and attention to detail
Maintain accurate records of orders and inventory using technology systems
Ensure all shipments are handled efficiently and comply with company standards
Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners to resolve shipping-related inquiries
Inspect incoming and outgoing goods to verify quality and accuracy
Prepare and package items for shipment according to established guidelines
Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies promptly
Follow safety and security protocols to maintain a secure warehouse environment
Collaborate with team members to optimize workflows and improve efficiency
Handle logistics tasks while maintaining a composed and detail-oriented demeanor

Requirements:

Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse logistics
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
Comfortable using technology to record and track orders
Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members and partners
Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks
Familiarity with safety protocols and security procedures in a warehouse setting
Capability to lift and move items as required in a physical work environment
Proven ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
