Job Description:

We have an opening for a Warehouse Associate working in the Oakville location. This is an hourly paid position with benefits and the potential for an annual bonus. There is an opportunity for growth into many areas within the warehouse environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Main warehouse duties will include order picking, shipping and receiving
  • Safe daily operation of an electric counterbalance lift truck
  • Warehouse and equipment maintenance
  • Other warehouse duties as assigned
  • Preparing documents for shipping: Bills of Lading, other shipping documents
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs unassisted
  • Other warehouse duties as required around the warehouse
  • Product inspections and processing paperwork
  • Installing blinds into skylights prior to shipping to customers
  • Shipping coordination on computer system

Requirements:

  • Valid license for counterbalance electric lift truck
  • Previous warehouse experience
  • Past experience with Bills of Lading and shipping documents
  • Must be physically fit with the ability to lift >50 lbs
  • Computer literate with knowledge of Internet and MS Office
  • Self-management and organizational skills
  • Creative thinking and problem solving
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Professional appearance and attitude

  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area, adhering to 5S principles
  • Adhering strictly to safety regulations and procedures in the manufacturing & logistics environment
  • Conducting inventory checks by counting, weighing and labeling stock and reporting any discrepancies
  • Communicating effectively with other departments regarding shipping and receiving activities
  • Work closely with the Warehouse Supervisor and other departments to foster a collaborative environment
  • Finding practical and effective solutions to internal or external shipping demands and issues
