The Warehouse Associate I will assist in a variety of Materials Management or Operations functions including incoming material receipt and inspection, inventory cycle counting, SAP inventory management, internal inventory requests, shipping, receiving, and distribution of goods and supplies. The Warehouse Associate I will provide support to ongoing process and method development, characterization and validation and assist in production activities including labeling and packaging. The position will work within defined protocols and procedures and may develop and document new procedures for Materials Management.
Job Responsibility:
Receive, inspect and verify incoming materials
Follow applicable SOPs for the processing of materials in SAP and through the Receiving Inspection system
Label materials accordingly
Contact appropriate person/department with receipt details as applicable
Place materials in inventory, deliver goods or coordinate pickup of materials
Troubleshoot and resolve inventory and receipt discrepancies
Initiate freight claims process
May initiate Nonconforming Material Reports
May initiate process improvements
Facilitate shipment of outgoing materials or products
Support all departments within the organization by pulling the correct inventory for use
Package and process materials to be shipped
Receive training and remain current on dangerous goods shipping
Call carriers to arrange for pickups
May provide training to new employees
File or disseminate all receiving and shipping documents
Work with the Inventory Management Department to maintain inventory
Supports inventory management in SAP
Document data related to department KPIs
Participate in projects relating to continuous improvement
Support and comply with the company's safety and environmental procedures

Ability to work nights and/or weekends
Ability to work overtime as needed

Requirements:
Associates degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or related field
or high school degree/general education diploma and 2 years of experience in lieu of degree
1+ years of experience in a warehouse setting or operations role of a similar capacity
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Possession or ability to obtain a forklift certification
Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in country where work will be performed on a full time or part-time basis
Nice to have:
Experience in an operations role in a similar capacity
Experience in a biotech manufacturing environment, preferably in a GMP and/or ISO13485 environment
1+ years of experience with SAP or other ERP systems
