Job Description:

The employee will troubleshoot inbound, outbound, and internal materials for Eaton’s Satellite, Customer, and site orders. The role involves coordinating with various teams, managing shipping cycles, preparing shipments, and maintaining warehouse accuracy. The position also emphasizes operational safety, quality assurance, and process improvement.

Job Responsibility:

  • The Shipping & Receiving Clerk will be responsible for overseeing the full life cycle of both outbound and inbound shipping processes
  • Completion of appropriate shipping paperwork, assigning tracking numbers, and collaborating with freight companies to ensure shipments align with customer delivery dates
  • Support the supply chain materials process to fulfill customer requirements and orders by producing quality products safely and in a timely manner, adhering to Standard Work protocols
  • Compliance with environmental, health, and safety guidelines is essential, as is the sustainment of 5S+ practices in the work area
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and conduct root cause analysis in response to quality or production issues
  • Quality assurance
  • Performing visual inspections of materials before shipping, identifying nonconforming parts, and troubleshooting errors
  • Respond to change notices, customer-requested adjustments, and development needs
  • Identify special or non-standard conditions and notify supervision accordingly
  • Manage the shipment process for final products shipped to external customers
  • Prepare assemblies for shipment or storage as appropriate
  • Execute daily close-out tasks for outgoing shipments
  • Use supply chain tracking systems to maintain inventory
  • Confirm customer orders in the Vista system
  • Pack, crate, and tape finished products according to instructions
  • Prepare products for shipping, utilizing material handling equipment to move products and supplies

Requirements:

  • Must have a valid lift truck license with a minimum of 1 years of experience
  • Proficiency in operating: Counterbalance forklifts, Order pickers with fall arrest systems, Reach trucks
  • Must have valid forklift license (electric counter balance), with min. 1 year operating experience
  • Will be required to lift min. 35lbs solo
  • min. 50lbs in team lift (this will occur throughout the day)
  • Will require attention to detail (i.e. identifying and sorting parts, updating receipt paperwork)
  • Require basic computer skills
