Job Description:

IKEA Sheffield are looking to welcome Warehouse Operatives to join our hardworking Fulfilment team. Are you a detail-oriented individual with an interest in logistics? Join our efficient team as a Warehouse Operative, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our store.

Job Responsibility:

  • Receiving inbound deliveries that arrive at our store
  • Moving stock to sales locations across the store
  • Cross-check paperwork and use internal systems to ensure the right amount of stock is received and dropped in the right locations
  • Working with or around heavy machinery to safely and efficiently transport heavy goods within the warehouse
  • Commit to all IKEA health, safety and security rules and requirements
  • Contribute to optimised daily fulfilment operations by working in a lean, simple, and cost-conscious way

Requirements:

  • Comfortable using computers and handheld devices to support with the checking of stock
  • Relevant warehouse, logistics or order fulfilment experience
  • Experience operating or desire to work with Forklift trucks, counterbalance, pump trucks and Pedi Stacker
  • Adaptable mindset allowing to switch between different tasks/areas and work within tight time frames
  • Work with guidance from manager to achieve set goals in agreed timeframes using standard ways of working
  • Must be 18 years of age or older for this role

Nice to have:

  • Relevant warehouse, logistics or order fulfilment experience
  • Experience operating Forklift trucks, counterbalance, pump trucks and Pedi Stacker
