Job Description:

Exciting opportunity for an experienced warehouse operator looking for their next opportunity in an expanding business in South Australia! The purpose of this role is to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the South Australian. Warehouse and Delivery functions, maintaining smooth daily operations through adherence to company processes, procedures, and safety standards. The position acts as the Second-in-Command (2IC) to the SA Operations Manager, ensuring seamless continuity of operations in their absence.

Job Responsibility:

  • Act as 2IC and stand in for the SA Operations Manager during periods of absence
  • Serve as a backup driver during emergency or peak periods
  • Ensure all company procedures, safety standards, and OHS policies are followed, including conducting regular toolbox talks
  • Supervise and plan the unloading and scanning of linehaul goods
  • Oversee the staging, allocation, and reloading of linehaul goods for local deliveries
  • Manage and coordinate the unloading, wrapping, and put-away of inbound containers
  • Supervise the SA driver team, ensuring optimal use of transport assets, driver efficiency, and service quality
  • Support continuous improvement across warehouse and transport functions

Requirements:

  • Current Forklift Licence (LF) and MR Truck Licence or Higher (Advantageous but not essential)
  • Strong understanding of WMS systems and RF scanning processes
  • Experience with receiving and despatch management
  • Understanding of medium to heavy vehicle delivery operations
  • Knowledge of delivery planning and scheduling processes
  • Hands-on leadership: actively leads and supports team performance
