We have an exciting opportunity for a Ward Manager on Oakwood Ward. Oakwood Ward is an acute Mental Health Ward based at Carleton Clinic in Carlisle. Oakwood is for older adults who require a bed on a needs led basis due to their frailty/vulnerability. they will be experiencing an acute episode of mental distress that is not manageable within a community setting.

Job Responsibility:

  • Work jointly with the Specialist Nurse offering effective leadership and day to day management of the team
  • Day to day management of the team includes recruitment of staff, conducting appraisals, managing performance and supporting the health and well-being of staff
  • Networking with other services

Requirements:

  • Professional Nursing qualification e.g.RGN/RMN/RNMH/ RNLD
  • ENB 998 / P126/127 or equivalent
