Wall and Floor Tiler

• Interpret drawings and specifications to determine layout requirements and tiling patterns
• Prepare surfaces by clearing away existing materials, repairing imperfections, and ensuring a clean base for tiling
• Apply bonding agents or adhesives evenly to surfaces and tiles before placement
• Position tiles accurately on floors and walls, following design plans and levels
• Operate cutting tools to trim and shape tiles to fit around fixtures, corners, and irregular spaces
• Check spacing and alignment regularly to maintain a consistent finish throughout the project
• Fill joints between tiles with grout, then clean off residue to reveal a polished surface
• Install waterproof membranes in wet areas such as bathrooms and balconies as part of the preparation process
• Construct and finish floors using specialised materials such as terrazzo, concrete blends, or stone-based products when required
• Create decorative tiling effects or mosaic patterns by arranging coloured tiles with precision

• Relevant qualifications
• A minimum of one years’ experience in a similar role
• Strong attention to detail and precision in layout and installation
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools, including tile cutters and grout applicators
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in varying site conditions
