Wellington Support is part of National Care Group, we have an exciting opportunity for those with a passion for supporting people to unlock their potential. Based in Moulton, Northampton, we have the amazing opportunity for you to join our team. At Wellington support we have been working closely with local authorities, and we are thrilled to welcome you to our BRAND-NEW purpose built bespoke Supported Living Service. It delivers supports across 15 one-bedroom apartments, providing 24-hour service for individuals with a wide range of complex needs. Apartments have been carefully configured to meet a variety of needs to support people now and in the future. Our supported living service provides a safe, secure and vibrant community for people with complex needs who want to live independently with personalised care designed for their needs.

Job Responsibility

  • Build positive relationships with people by listening, discussing, and then planning goals and ambitions together
  • Help to plan their daily tasks and assist with practical activities such as cooking, cleaning and running errands
  • Assist with personal care, which may include support with eating and administering medication
  • Help to plan and participate in any exciting days out they wish to enjoy
  • Make a positive impact on someone’s life by supporting them to become more independent wherever possible

  • Administering medication: Follow medication protocols, ensuring medication is administered accurately and on time
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and accessible home: Assist individuals in keeping their home environment tidy and organised
  • Promoting healthy relationships: Encourage and support positive relationships with family, friends, and the wider community
  • Supporting with day-to-day activities: Provide practical and emotional support for individuals in areas such as shopping, appointments, social activities, and hobbies
  • Supporting outside the home setting: On occasion, you may be required to accompany individuals outside of their home for activities such as hospital visits, holidays, or attending appointments at police stations
  • Promoting independence and individuality: Ensure each individual is supported in a way that respects their personal preferences, choices, and promotes their independence
  • Report to the Service Manager: Regularly report on the progress of the individuals you support and ensure their care plans are followed
