As a Waking Night Recovery Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals who are receiving clinical support from the Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team (CRHT Norwich). These individuals do not require hospital admission, but benefit from safe, compassionate, and therapeutic support in their own homes. This role is ideal for someone seeking flexibility in their working hours, as you will work overnight shifts with the autonomy to balance your personal commitments. You will provide therapeutic interventions such as Mindfulness, Distraction Techniques, and a friendly ear without judgment to help individuals manage their mental health.
Job Responsibility:
Provide 1-2-1 support to individuals using the service during the night shift
Remain awake and responsive to the needs of individuals, ensuring their safety and wellbeing
Complete referrals and signposting to relevant services
Carry out general cleaning duties to maintain a safe and welcoming environment
Ensure accurate and timely entries into the electronic clinical system
Contribute to team meetings and attend mandatory online and in-person training
Provide a comprehensive handover to the team coming on duty
Support individuals through therapeutic interventions, including mindfulness, distraction techniques, and signposting
Requirements:
Strong listening skills and the ability to respond sensitively and appropriately to individuals' needs
Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
Flexibility and responsiveness to the needs of both individuals and the team
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build trusting professional relationships
Passion for supporting individuals with mental health needs and a commitment to promoting recovery in a supportive, psychologically-informed environment
What we offer:
