Job Description:

We are looking for someone to join our team working nights in our supported living location supporting adults with learning disabilities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Adapt support to fit what each person needs and wants daily
  • Encourage people to make their own choices, big and small
  • Help people to do things themselves to be as independent as possible
  • Support people to build confidence and life skills
  • Support people to be a part of their community, joining local clubs and connecting with friends and family
  • Be understanding, allowing people to take their time and do things at their own pace
  • Celebrate people’s achievements, no matter how small they might seem to others
  • Provide responsive support during the night and early morning as required

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS check (paid for by employer)
  • Ability to attend training and meetings during the day as required
  • Ability to connect with people in their home environment
  • Understanding and patience to allow people to do things at their own pace
