We are looking for someone to join our team working nights in our supported living location supporting adults with learning disabilities.
Job Responsibility:
Adapt support to fit what each person needs and wants daily
Encourage people to make their own choices, big and small
Help people to do things themselves to be as independent as possible
Support people to build confidence and life skills
Support people to be a part of their community, joining local clubs and connecting with friends and family
Be understanding, allowing people to take their time and do things at their own pace
Celebrate people’s achievements, no matter how small they might seem to others
Provide responsive support during the night and early morning as required
Requirements:
Enhanced DBS check (paid for by employer)
Ability to attend training and meetings during the day as required
Ability to connect with people in their home environment
Understanding and patience to allow people to do things at their own pace
