We support individuals in their own homes, assisting those with a variety of health needs, including learning disabilities, mental health needs, physical disabilities, and individuals requiring personal care. We are currently seeking dedicated Waking Night Support Workers to join our team and help ensure the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of the individuals we support throughout the night.
Job Responsibility:
Providing overnight supervision and support to ensure individuals’ safety and wellbeing
Conducting regular welfare checks and responding promptly to any needs or concerns
Supporting with personal care where required during the night
Administering medication in line with company policies and procedures
Maintaining accurate records, including incident reports and night logs
Ensuring the home environment remains clean, safe, and secure
Supporting individuals who may wake during the night and require reassurance or assistance
Promoting dignity, respect, and independence at all times
Reporting any concerns or changes to the Service Manager and wider team
Requirements:
A caring and compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others
Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm and professional at night
Experience in a support or care setting (preferred)
Understanding of person-centred care principles
Ability to work independently and remain alert during night shifts
Flexibility to work across the week, including weekends
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) – desirable
Full UK driving licence – essential
Nice to have:
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
