Thera Scotland has an exciting opportunity available for a Waking Night Support Worker to join our team in Smithton, Highland. You will join us on a permanent basis, with Full Time and Part Time positions available. As a support worker with Thera, you will be part of an inclusive team supporting adults with a learning disability. Using a person-centered approach, you will empower people with a learning disability to live the lives they choose. Your support could be in their own home or out and about in their local community.
Job Responsibility:
Ensuring the comfort, safety, and wellbeing of the individual(s) we support
Assist and encourage people with their evening routines and activities
Provide consistent physical and emotional support throughout the night
Help create a safe, secure, and calming environment
Help create innovative ways to support an individual achieve their own personal goals
Supporting people in their daily lives
Helping someone develop new skills
Help plan and manage their own home
Support with leisure activities, interests, and travel
Requirements:
Compassionate, Caring and Confident
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Self-starter, with a high level of motivation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Confident, articulate, and professional
Keenness to learn in a fast-paced environment and creatively solve problems
Desire to embrace our values and vision and have fun!
Full UK driving licence is preferred but not essential
