The Waiter position provides an enjoyable, expertly served beverage or dining experience conforming to Four Seasons standards of excellence for quality, professionalism and friendliness. Servers anticipate and service guests needs before being asked and are knowledgeable about all available menu options, beverage lists and daily specials.
Job Responsibility:
Takes orders for, serves (where applicable, prepares) food and beverages to guests as per standards in a friendly, timely and efficient manner
Having knowledge of the menu, with the ability to make suggestions
Anticipates guest needs, offers suggestions and ascertains satisfaction
Takes ownership of guest concerns and requests and acts decisively to ensure guest satisfaction when glitches occur
Is highly sensitive to guest preferences
assists in compiling guest history
offers a special service touch when an opportunity is presented
Accurately posts guest checks, processes payments and adheres to related control procedures in a vigilant manner
Breakdown, clean and set-up of tables, buffets, and food stations as well as the back-of-house areas
Plate, prepare food & beverage items and serve as indicated in the Standards Training Manual
Requirements:
An outgoing, engaging personality with a can-do attitude towards every task
One to two years of previous experience in a Food & Beverage outlet, ideally within a luxury hotel or resort environment
A strong hospitality spirit, with a natural ability to connect with guests and anticipate their needs
High level of understanding and knowledge of food, wine, and beverage service standards
Exceptional communication skills, with a positive and collaborative approach to working with both guests and team members
Previous experience with F&B computer systems and the ability to operate POS and related equipment with ease
Ability to remain composed, organized, and detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment
A polished, professional appearance and demeanor that reflects the standards of a luxury brand
Adaptability and flexibility to adjust to different service styles, guest preferences, and operational demands
Commitment to excellence, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering memorable dining experiences
