CIB Data and Analytics (CIB D&A) is a hub of advanced analytics competency, providing high-end analytics services across global businesses and global functions. The work done in CIB D&A forms a vital input towards for strategic planning by the senior management for businesses and enables effective decision making along with addressing unforeseen challenges. Today, the CIB D&A team generates value across the group through a wide variety of data and analytic solutions and related business consulting. CIB D&A has become a one-stop shop for the CIB D&A section of the group’s analytic needs leading the integration of analytics and data-driven decisions not only in traditional areas such as CIB D&A & Commercial Banking but also in new domains such as Regulatory, Operations, Procurement, Credit & Lending, IT Infrastructure, and Financial Crime Risk. It provides support to various business groups and the job involves data analysis, model and strategy development & implementation, Business Intelligence, reporting and data management and analysis.
Job Responsibility:
Support Value Stream with the forecasting of the budget
Ensure resourcing details are updated in Sandbox to ensure accurate budget forecasting
Provide financial guidance to the Value Stream and ensure any over or under spend is highlighted
Ensure resources are aligned to Clarity projects for recoveries
Manage strong relationship with senior stakeholders to prepare appropriate funding projections
Work with other Finance managers to ensure accurate tracking of actuals against budget and provide accurate forecast, both from a cost and headcount perspective, including distillation of this information for succinct and digestible upward reporting
Ensuring any anomalies in the financials are highlighted and reviewed with reasoning and solutions identified
Ensuring accurate reporting for headcount, open demand and financials to the senior stakeholders
Requirements:
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, financial regulations
The presentation skills required to handle senior stakeholders
Proficient in the use of Excel, PowerPoint and Word (Microsoft Suite of Application)
Motivated self-starter with ability to work collaboratively within a team
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills
Strong team-working skills, working in global teams across multiple time zones
Willingness to learn and quick to adapt to changing requirements
Identify issues, communicate them and assist in their resolution
Assist in continuous improvement efforts in processes to ensure efficiency
Create and maintain detailed documentation for internal reports and dashboards
Advanced Jira, and Confluence knowledge with experience in developing Agile metrics for different use cases and audiences (business users, managers, development teams)
