Job Description:

The VP, Product Management role at HSBC Global Asset Management involves working in the Product Development & Management team in Taiwan. Responsibilities include designing and delivering new product development projects, managing existing product ranges, rationalizations, and product governance. The position requires technical expertise in financial products, networking capabilities, and strong collaboration skills.

Job Responsibility:

design and delivery of new product development projects for HSBC Global Asset Management business in Taiwan
ongoing management and development of the existing product range and any rationalizations
lead development and delivery of new products, sub funds, specific mandates, client propositions and solutions for AMG’s internal and external clients
submit and present proposals to New Business Committees
work with the team and external counsel on prospectus, product feature updates and regulatory changes that impact the products
present product changes, new fund launches and regulatory impacts to the requisite Management Company and Fund Boards
lead discussions with capability managers, product specialists, and sales for new product proposals
identify and implement cost-saving opportunities such as conducting fund rationalization and improving platform efficiency
ensure proper product governance is being applied
maintain HSBC internal control standards

Requirements:

Finance or related departments are preferred
proven track record in asset management or in the financial industry, focusing on product function
strong technical understanding of financial products and investments and understanding of the product delivery environment
project management experience is a plus
excellent written and verbal communication skills
effective networking capabilities both internally and externally
great team player with strong relationship building skills with key people in the business to develop excellent collaboration and exchange of information
strong Mandarin and English proficiency
qualification as Product Specialist for Offshore Fund Master Agent
GPAD covered worker
