Phantom started as the most-loved crypto wallet. Now we're building a consumer finance platform that competes with Robinhood and Cash App. The infrastructure is crypto-native, but users don't need to know or care about that. Your job is to make one hundred million people trust us with their money. That's hard. People are skeptical of new financial products, and they should be. You need to build a brand that earns credibility, acquire users profitably at scale, and position Phantom as the obvious choice for people who want modern finance without the friction or the fees.
Job Responsibility:
Define and execute the marketing strategy for Phantom's evolution from wallet to global consumer finance platform
Build the brand narrative: why Phantom, why now, why trust us
Partner with product on launches, positioning, and gtm for new financial products
Scale brand marketing while maintaining efficiency
Own brand, product marketing, content, and comms
Requirements:
10+ years in consumer marketing, with real experience in fintech or consumer finance
Bonus if you've marketed to Gen Z
You've managed a significant marketing budget and can talk specifics about what you learned and what actually worked
You've done brand building and understand that trust is the product
You've built and led small, high-output teams. You know how to hire and you know how to ship
You have a track record of high agency. Not "leadership experience" but actual evidence that you see problems and fix them without being asked
You can write. Crisp, clear, no corporate fluff
