ProNexus is looking for experienced finance leaders who will oversee all aspects of financial management and strategy for our clients. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) or Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the VP of Finance provides strategic financial leadership, drives financial performance, and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements. This role plays a critical part in shaping an organization’s financial strategy, optimizing capital allocation, and supporting sustainable growth.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and implement strategic financial plans, policies, and objectives in alignment with the organization's overall goals and objectives
Lead the annual budgeting process, forecasting, and financial planning efforts to support business growth and profitability
Evaluate investment opportunities, capital projects, and strategic initiatives to maximize shareholder value
Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, management reports, and regulatory filings to provide accurate and timely financial information to stakeholders
Conduct in-depth financial analysis, variance analysis, and performance metrics tracking to assess business performance and identify areas for improvement
Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on financial analysis and market trends
Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to ensure sufficient funds for operations and strategic initiatives
Develop and implement cash management strategies, including investment strategies, debt management, and financing arrangements
Monitor banking relationships, credit facilities, and compliance with debt covenants
Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, including market risk, credit risk, and operational risk
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and internal controls
Oversee internal audit processes and external audit engagements to maintain financial integrity and transparency
Evaluate capital allocation decisions, including capital expenditures, acquisitions, and divestitures, to optimize returns and manage risk
Assess investment opportunities, mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships to support business growth and expansion
Develop and communicate investment strategies and recommendations to senior management and the board of directors
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Recruit, develop, and retain top talent, ensuring the finance team has the skills and capabilities to support organizational objectives
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, sales, and marketing, to drive organizational success and achieve financial goals
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, board members, investors, and financial institutions
Communicate financial performance, strategies, and risks effectively to stakeholders, providing transparency and clarity
Represent the organization in financial matters, negotiations, and presentations to external parties
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
Master’s degree or MBA preferred
CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation preferred
Minimum 10+ years* of progressive experience in finance leadership roles, with demonstrated success in financial management, strategic planning, and team leadership
Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements
Proven track record of driving financial performance, optimizing capital allocation, and supporting business growth
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization
Strategic mindset, with the ability to anticipate market trends, assess risks, and develop proactive strategies to drive financial success
Experience in a customer service role / client facing, public accounting, consulting or advisory roles is advantageous
