Lead product vision and strategy for Cohere’s North AI platform, and related products. Shape the future of the product and company culture while working with a talented multidisciplinary team.
Job Responsibility:
Collaborate with enterprise customers and developers to understand their needs and pain points through various methods (feedback, focus groups, interviews, conferences)
Research industry trends, competitive landscape, and stay updated on the latest AI/ML research (e.g., NeurIPS, ICLR) to drive innovation
Analyze product data to identify usage patterns and opportunities for improvement
Align with leadership to ensure product strategy supports company goals
Translate customer insights into a prioritized product roadmap
Design and specify features, including defining success metrics
Propose and prioritize new initiatives, balancing short-term and long-term investments
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and execution
Navigate trade-offs and challenges during the development process
Lead project planning, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication
Ensure product launches are data-driven, with clear metrics and hypotheses
Share successes and learnings internally and externally
Embrace a hands-on, startup mindset to drive results in a fast-paced environment
Foster a culture of learning, collaboration, and innovation
Mentor and develop product management talent within the team
Requirements:
8+ years in product management, with a proven track record of leading successful products and teams
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
advanced degrees (MBA, MS, PhD) preferred
Experience with AI/ML, developer-facing products (e.g., APIs), or large-scale systems
Ability to inspire and lead cross-functional teams, drive strategic initiatives, and influence stakeholders
Scrappy, startup mentality with a passion for innovation and problem-solving
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly
Nice to have:
Background in engineering, machine learning, algorithms, or statistics
Experience in a high-growth startup or tech company
Familiarity with agile development methodologies
Experience managing a team of Product Managers
