Job Description

Lead product vision and strategy for Cohere’s North AI platform, and related products. Shape the future of the product and company culture while working with a talented multidisciplinary team.

Job Responsibility

  • Collaborate with enterprise customers and developers to understand their needs and pain points through various methods (feedback, focus groups, interviews, conferences)
  • Research industry trends, competitive landscape, and stay updated on the latest AI/ML research (e.g., NeurIPS, ICLR) to drive innovation
  • Analyze product data to identify usage patterns and opportunities for improvement
  • Align with leadership to ensure product strategy supports company goals
  • Translate customer insights into a prioritized product roadmap
  • Design and specify features, including defining success metrics
  • Propose and prioritize new initiatives, balancing short-term and long-term investments
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and execution
  • Navigate trade-offs and challenges during the development process
  • Lead project planning, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication
  • Ensure product launches are data-driven, with clear metrics and hypotheses

Requirements

  • 8+ years in product management, with a proven track record of leading successful products and teams
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • advanced degrees (MBA, MS, PhD) preferred
  • Experience with AI/ML, developer-facing products (e.g., APIs), or large-scale systems
  • Ability to inspire and lead cross-functional teams, drive strategic initiatives, and influence stakeholders
  • Scrappy, startup mentality with a passion for innovation and problem-solving
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly

  • Background in engineering, machine learning, algorithms, or statistics
