Job Responsibility

  • Direct the full scope of accounting operations, ensuring accurate records, consistent controls, and dependable financial reporting across the organization
  • Lead the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial outlooks, providing leadership with meaningful analysis to support planning and performance management
  • Oversee complex accounting areas such as revenue recognition, lease accounting, loan portfolio activity, and valuation-related financial treatment
  • Manage key finance functions including accounts payable, cash activity, tax coordination, reconciliations, and period-end close processes
  • Strengthen compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulatory obligations, and internal corporate policies through disciplined oversight and review
  • Partner with executive leaders and cross-functional teams to translate financial results into clear recommendations and actionable business insights
  • Drive efficiency through process improvement, automation initiatives, and financial system implementations that enhance accuracy and timeliness
  • Develop, coach, and mentor the accounting team, setting clear expectations and building capability through ongoing performance management and support
  • Collaborate with international stakeholders to align financial practices, reporting expectations, and execution across the broader organization

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and CPA license required
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in financial reporting and accounting management
  • Experience in accounting systems and process automation
  • Experience in Big Four firms or a public accounting company
  • Banking/Financial services industry experience
  • Emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skills
  • Adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to build and develop high performing teams
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local tax requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interpret and communicate complex accounting concepts
  • Proficiency with accounting systems and process automation
  • Ability to sit for extended periods, stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 20 lbs
  • Requires use of computer and standard office equipment
  • Must be able to travel occasionally and be physically present at assigned locations as needed
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and able to pass a background check

  • Drive readiness across SOX, PCAOB and SEC reporting standards, and US GAAP adoption – building the compliance posture a scaled business needs
  • Reduce month-end close from day 8–10 to business day 5
  • Lead the transition to Coupa and a PO-first procurement model, going live September 2026
  • Build bench strength in US GAAP and SOX – currently one specialist in each area
  • Bring AI-native thinking to transform manual processes across the function
  • Act as a strategic partner to the leadership team and accounting org: Help the Prague team answer difficult questions about where accounting is going and what their roles look like as the business scales
  • Manage upwards as well as downwards – influencing leadership behaviour is a real part of this job
