The VP, Media & Growth is a senior leadership role responsible for driving agency growth through new business development, strategic media leadership, and team management. Reporting to the EVP, Media & Growth, this role blends high-level business development with hands-on leadership of media strategy and pitch execution. The VP will collaborate across MissionOne Media and BarkleyOKRP, orchestrating pitch engagements, strengthening internal and external relationships, and ensuring the agency remains at the forefront of media innovation and growth.
Job Responsibility:
Lead the agency’s business development initiatives for full-funnel Media AOR and related engagements
Develop and implement growth strategies in partnership with agency leadership
Oversee and guide the pitch process
Cultivate and maintain relationships with industry consultants, prospective clients, and key stakeholders
Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and evolving client needs
Demonstrate deep understanding of media strategy, investment, and optimization across all channels
Serve as executive lead on select media clients
Partner with executive leadership to develop and activate pitch teams
Support the integration of growth practice with the broader agency network
Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and high performance
Build strong, collaborative relationships with internal teams
Champion MissionOne Media’s interests with partners and consultants
Mentor team members and provide strategic guidance across select accounts
Lead and orchestrate many aspects of the agency’s pitch process
Drive the development of written RFIs, RFPs, and credentials content
Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities
Establish and maintain productive relationships with client stakeholders, consultants, and the broader agency network
Guide the Growth team in developing compelling propositions, strategic approaches, media plans, and commercial models
Support cross-functional collaboration
Monitor and report on business development pipeline and milestones
Requirements:
12+ years of progressive leadership experience in media, marketing, or consulting
Proven track record in business development or agency growth roles and a proven track record of winning pitches
Deep expertise in media strategy, planning, and optimization across traditional and digital channels
Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
Proven relationship-building skills with both internal teams and external partners, consultants, and clients
Strong strategic thinking, with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
Experience managing and developing high-performing teams
Bold, inventive approach to problem-solving
