Job Summary FreeWheel seeks a VP, Head of Supply, based in New York, NY, reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer. In this role you will cultivate and manage the Sales teams responsible for all Supply-side client relationships. The role is responsible for driving revenue for FreeWheel’s sell-side software and technology across our ad-serving and monetization solutions. The position involves developing and implementing go-to-market revenue strategies, crafting our narrative and collaborating cross-departmentally to prioritize the roadmap and long-range plan. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of media strategy with extensive experience in TV/CTV, streaming and programmatic advertising, is commercial leader, enterprise dealmaker and industry operator.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop and execute a unified supply strategy that integrates ad server, programmatic exchange and monetization capabilities
  • Consistently deliver high-quality results, turning strategic vision into action with a focus on efficiency and beating deadlines
  • Collaborate with FreeWheel’s senior leadership to align supply revenue strategy with overall business goals and long-range plan
  • Ensure optimal alignment with FreeWheel’s VP of US Revenue, Demand, VP of Programmatic operations
  • Drive growth by identifying new revenue opportunities and optimizing existing business
  • Distill complex narratives and market dynamics into strategic and actionable growth plans
  • Elevate FreeWheel’s visibility through thought leadership and industry relationships with decision-makers
  • Lead and manage the US Revenue sales team, ensuring partnership with FreeWheel’s existing Demand & Programmatic operations team and initiatives
  • Oversee the development and execution of vertical sales strategies to maximize growth from content distributors including Publishers, Broadcasters, MPVDs, OEMs, Streaming platforms, and new customer segments
  • Lead negotiation and execution of large scale, multi-year enterprise agreements
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, providing actionable insights to drive execution and product adoption
  • Drive adoption and monetization of FW’s full platform, including ad server, SSP, and data enabled solutions
  • Manage a high-performing team, providing guidance, mentorship, clarity of role and support to achieve team and individual goals
  • Foster collaboration and education across a cross-functional group of sales leaders and account owners, aligning incentives and value proposition
  • Establish and drive verticalized and segment-based growth strategies across key supply categories
  • Ensure the team is fully staffed with top talent by overseeing recruitment, onboarding, and development processes

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in media and technology sales, programmatic advertising highly preferred
  • Excellent understanding of the premium video advertising ecosystem
  • Proven success in setting and exceeding revenue goals. Established track record of closing and scaling complex enterprise partnerships
  • Strong relationships with executive-level Publishers and Agencies
  • Experience in managing, mentoring and motivating sales teams
  • Executive-level interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience managing partners and negotiating complex agreements
  • Self-motivated with attention to detail and a results-driven approach
  • Strong understanding of client requirements and how to appropriately respond
  • Ability to drive change management in evolving business environments
