Job Description

We are looking for a strategic finance leader to guide financial performance and support business growth with a dynamic manufacturing company in Overland Park, Kansas. This role will oversee planning, reporting, cash management, and compliance while partnering closely with commercial and operational teams to improve decision-making. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in FP&A and commercial finance, along with the leadership skills to strengthen processes, controls, and team capability.

Job Responsibility

  • Shape financial direction by creating strategies that support growth, profitability, and broader business objectives
  • Lead the budgeting cycle, rolling forecasts, and longer-range planning activities, including alignment between operational plans and financial expectations
  • Assess results across products, customers, and sales channels to highlight performance trends and recommend actions that improve margin and efficiency
  • Deliver clear financial updates, analysis, and presentations for senior leadership to support informed decision-making
  • Oversee month-end close activities and financial reporting to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with group and local statutory requirements
  • Manage cash flow forecasting, working capital reviews, and periodic reforecasts to improve liquidity planning and overall cash performance
  • Direct tax reporting and compliance activities while supporting initiatives that strengthen cross-border tax outcomes and broader global tax efforts
  • Partner with teams across sales, marketing, and supply chain to provide financial insight, challenge assumptions, and support business decisions
  • Strengthen internal controls, improve data quality, reduce process inefficiencies, and guide the finance team through ongoing operational improvements
  • Lead, coach, and develop finance staff by setting clear expectations and building a collaborative, high-performing team environment

Requirements

  • 10+ years of finance experience in a commercially focused business environment, including exposure to senior leadership decision-making
  • Bachelor’s degree or other recognized tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, or a related discipline
  • Accounting credential such as CPA, CA, CMA, or a comparable certification is preferred
  • Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, FP&A, and commercial finance analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to identify cost-saving opportunities, improve operational efficiency, and support performance optimization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build credibility across internal and external stakeholders
  • Highly attentive to detail, hands-on, and effective at solving complex business and financial issues
  • Able to manage multiple priorities successfully in a fast-paced, evolving environment while remaining adaptable and team-oriented

Nice to have

Accounting credential such as CPA, CA, CMA, or a comparable certification is preferred
