We're recruiting a VP of Finance for a client seeking a strategic, hands-on finance leader who thrives in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment. Location: St. Louis, MO (Onsite) Salary: $180,000–$210,000 + 25% bonus Responsibilities: Lead all aspects of the Finance organization, including accounting, treasury, tax, compliance, credit, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash management. Serve as the senior finance leader and strategic business partner to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team, providing financial guidance to support company growth and long-term objectives. Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, ensuring compliance with GAAP and the timely delivery of accurate financial statements and analysis. Develop, implement, and strengthen financial policies, procedures, internal controls, and reporting processes to support operational excellence. Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes while providing insights into business performance, cost management, and profitability. Oversee the company's credit function, customer credit policies, banking relationships, cash flow, and financing activities. Coordinate external audits, tax planning, and compliance activities while maintaining strong relationships with banking partners, auditors, and financial advisors. Mentor, develop, and lead a high-performing finance team while fostering collaboration across departments. Partner with executive leadership to evaluate strategic initiatives, business plans, investments, and operational improvements. Drive continuous process improvements, financial system enhancements, and operational efficiencies across the organization. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred. CPA or CMA designation required. 7+ years of progressive financial leadership experience with responsibility for accounting, financial planning, and strategic finance. Strong technical accounting knowledge with expertise in GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, budgeting, and forecasting. Proven ability to balance strategic leadership with a hands-on approach in a lean organizational structure. Experience managing banking relationships, treasury functions, credit operations, and external audits. ERP experience required; Epicor experience is a plus. Strong executive presence with exceptional communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills. Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams, drive process improvements, and support business growth. High ethical standards, sound judgment, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, family-oriented culture.
