Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced VP/Director of Finance to join our team in St Paul, Minnesota. In this long-term contract role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping financial strategies and overseeing key processes to support organizational success. This position is ideal for a finance leader with strong expertise in healthcare and a passion for driving operational excellence.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with organizational objectives by collaborating with leadership across departments
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to ensure operational and capital plans meet strategic goals
  • Design and evaluate financial proformas to assess the impact of proposed changes to capital and operational plans
  • Partner with the Controller to produce comprehensive financial and managerial reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Lead and mentor the finance team to enhance productivity, provide training, and foster cross-functional collaboration
  • Collaborate with the Revenue Cycle team to analyze operational impacts on billing and collections and implement effective feedback loops
  • Oversee treasury functions, including cash management, forecasting, and support for investor and regulatory reporting
  • Monitor financial performance and identify areas for improvement to drive profitability and growth
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare payment methodologies and regulatory requirements while optimizing financial operations.

Requirements:

  • At least 7 years of experience in finance, including a minimum of 5 years in healthcare finance leadership roles
  • Advanced degree preferred, with expertise in financial modeling and regulatory reporting
  • Previous experience as a Controller or Director of Financial Planning and Analysis is highly desirable
  • Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare payment methods and treasury management functions
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights
  • Proven track record in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to support organizational growth
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with excellent communication skills to engage stakeholders effectively
  • Proficiency in key financial processes, including annual budgeting, month-end close, and cash flow forecasting.
