Job Description

We are looking for an experienced VP/Director of Finance to oversee key financial operations for a non-profit organization in Alexandria, Virginia. In this contract role, you will play a pivotal part in managing financial processes, ensuring compliance, and driving strategic financial decision-making. This position is ideal for an experienced finance specialist with over 10 years of experience and a strong background in non-profit financial management.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead the development and implementation of annual budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
  • Oversee month-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting
  • Manage financial reporting activities, maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
  • Supervise accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) operations, ensuring efficiency and accuracy
  • Provide strategic financial insights to support organizational decision-making and long-term planning
  • Collaborate with department heads to monitor and control expenses

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles, preferably within the healthcare industry

  • Strong knowledge of accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) operations
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
