We are looking for an experienced VP/Director of Finance to join our client's team in Troy, Michigan. In this contract position, you will play a critical role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and providing strategic guidance to support organizational goals. This role involves managing a team, preparing detailed financial reports, and maintaining compliance with financial standards.
Job Responsibility:
Lead and manage monthly financial close processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
Prepare comprehensive board decks for quarterly meetings and deliver financial updates to stakeholders
Develop and maintain financial reports for monthly operations meetings, providing insights to support decision-making
Supervise and provide oversight to a team of 11 employees, ensuring efficient workflows and adherence to financial policies
Conduct bank reconciliations and perform detailed financial analysis to support organizational goals
Ensure payroll compliance across multiple states, including handling garnishments and other payroll-related matters
Utilize Sage Intact for financial management and reporting processes
Collaborate with private equity sponsors and debt providers to maintain clean balance sheets and meet financial obligations
Requirements:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in finance or accounting leadership roles
Expertise in month-end close processes and financial reporting
Strong knowledge of payroll compliance, including multi-state payroll and garnishments
Proficiency in Sage Intacct or similar financial management software
Familiarity with private equity environments and working with debt providers
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing teams effectively
