We are looking for a strategic finance leader to oversee financial management and administrative operations for the organization in Metairie, Louisiana. This role will serve as a key advisor to executive leadership, guiding budgeting, reporting, compliance, and operational improvements that support sustainable growth and service excellence. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in complex, multi-program environments and can translate financial data into clear insights for leaders across the organization.
Job Responsibility
Direct the organization’s finance and accounting functions, ensuring accurate reporting, sound fiscal management, and strong operational oversight
Collaborate with executive leadership to shape financial plans that advance long-term stability, organizational growth, and mission-focused outcomes
Evaluate financial results across departments, programs, and geographic areas to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
Lead the annual budgeting cycle, forecasting activities, audit readiness efforts, and ongoing financial analysis to support informed decision-making
Build and refine reporting tools that provide visibility into revenue, expenditures, labor costs, cash position, and overall business performance
Oversee technology-related coordination by working with system providers and internal stakeholders to improve financial and administrative workflows
Partner with teams across operations, human resources, billing, quality, and program leadership to strengthen compliance, communication, and accountability
Guide managers and regional leaders on financial expectations, purchasing practices, reporting standards, and administrative procedures
Serve as a primary point of contact for auditors, banking partners, consultants, vendors, funders, and other external financial stakeholders
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related discipline
At least 10 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or administrative leadership within nonprofit, healthcare, human services, government-funded, or similar environments
Demonstrated success in senior-level leadership or team management roles
Strong knowledge of budgeting, month-end close, financial reporting, cash flow forecasting, internal controls, audit support, and compliance practices
Experience working with multi-site operations, Medicaid-funded services, or other complex funding structures is highly valued
Familiarity with financial systems, software platforms, technology vendors, or process improvement initiatives is preferred
Excellent communication, analytical, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to design practical policies, workflows, and reporting frameworks that improve organizational performance and accountability
Nice to have
Experience working with multi-site operations, Medicaid-funded services, or other complex funding structures
Familiarity with financial systems, software platforms, technology vendors, or process improvement initiatives
