Job Description

Arcaea is an early-growth, multi-brand beauty company rethinking how ingredients are created and scaled for the beauty and personal care industry. At the intersection of biotechnology and beauty, we create high-performance, genuinely sustainable ingredients that unlock new ways to build and tell brand stories. Our brand ecosystem spans multiple stages - from established and scaling to early and still being built - and we’re focused on strengthening the infrastructure behind what’s working today while building the foundations for what comes next. We’re looking for a VP of Digital Commerce to own and scale our digital business across current and future brands. This is a hands-on role for a builder who thrives on improving existing systems while designing new ones from the ground up. You will lead digital performance and infrastructure across all brands, develop and manage brand-level digital managers, and own DTC revenue and digital P&L. Your mission is to create a scalable, efficient digital ecosystem that compounds growth over time and helps shape a high-profile, category-defining company.

Job Responsibility

  • Own DTC revenue, margin, and digital P&L across all Arcaea brands
  • Lead forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking across acquisition, retention, and conversion
  • Identify and unlock new growth opportunities across channels, lifecycle stages, and platforms
  • Set the long-term digital commerce strategy across the brand ecosystem
  • Build scalable systems, processes, and operating models that support both existing and future brands
  • Balance near-term scrappiness with thoughtful long-term infrastructure and platform decisions
  • Establish a unified analytics framework, dashboards, and core KPIs across brands
  • Translate performance data into clear insights and action, partnering with leadership to guide strategic decisions
  • Own CRM and lifecycle strategy including email, SMS, loyalty, and subscription
  • Scale high-performing subscription and retention programs to increase LTV
  • Create disciplined testing frameworks for messaging, cadence, and offers
  • Own performance marketing strategy and execution across paid channels, in-house and through agencies
  • Optimize CAC, efficiency, and incremental growth
  • Own the end-to-end digital consumer journey across brands driving seamless, conversion-optimized experiences
  • Lead conversion, UX, and experimentation frameworks
  • Partner with creative and brand teams to ensure performance and brand integrity coexist
  • Own ecommerce platforms, websites, and core digital infrastructure ensuring stability, scalability, and cost efficiency of the digital stack
  • Partner with operations on platform selection and roadmap
  • Lead Amazon, TikTok Shop, and retailer digital strategies, execution, and optimization as the brand ecosystem expands ensuring consistent merchandising, storytelling, and conversion across all platforms
  • Build, develop, and lead a high-performing digital team
  • Directly manage brand-level digital managers and set clear expectations, KPIs, and operating rhythms
  • Lead from the front, comfortable setting strategy and rolling up your sleeves when needed

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience building and scaling digital commerce businesses with direct ownership of revenue, P&L, and outcomes
  • Proven track record driving significant growth – whether scaling from early stages, turning around underperforming digital ecosystems, or building new foundations from scratch
  • Deep, hands-on understanding of DTC economics, including conversion, retention, LTV, and unit economics
  • Execution-level experience across performance marketing, CRM, subscription, and lifecycle marketing
  • Ability to design and implement cost-efficient, scalable digital systems and operating processes
  • Strategic thinker who can architect for scale while operating lean, prioritizing effectively, and sequencing investments in resource-constrained environments
  • Proven people leader with experience building, developing, and leading high-performing teams
  • Strong cross-functional partner to brand, creative, product, and operations teams
  • Clear, concise communicator who can translate complexity into action
  • Experience in beauty, wellness, or consumer brands preferred
  • Multi-brand experience and high-growth or early-stage company experience strongly preferred
  • Experience launching new brands or categories digitally is a plus
