Job Responsibility:

  • Lead and supervise accounting & reporting operations to ensure relevant, complete, accurate and timely closings and Financial and Management reporting in compliance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles or International Financial Reporting Standards
  • Accountable for variance analysis, reviewing and challenging reported actuals and forecasts and first level of commentary
  • Secure effective governance and supervise solid support for country management with insight in financial performance & position, liquidity, investment decisions and financial planning
  • Accountable for effective implementation of the internal control framework in the country financial operations and report on country and global level on effectiveness
  • Manage the relationship with the external auditor and enable an efficient and effective external audit process
  • Secure close cooperation with Legal and Tax teams to ensure compliance with legal and tax requirements
  • Accountable for securing, setting up and maintaining the financial structures to follow-up cost and performance and support decision making in line with global frameworks
  • Contributes to global projects and local execution (as part of these projects) to simplifying, harmonizing and automating financial operations and reporting
  • Provide ongoing leadership in leading and delivering IKEA’s financial transformational change, secure organizational readiness and anticipate/adapt the daily processes in a constantly changing retail environment
  • Recruit and develop professional & leadership skills to secure an efficient and lean organization with competent and high performing leaders and teams that embrace the diversity of co-workers and customers

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Accounting / Finance / Economics or a related field
  • CPA Required
  • 15+ years of progressive financial experience and 7+ years in a Sr. Finance Position, with demonstrated ability to collaborate with senior management
  • 10+ years progressive experience leading financial teams
  • Preferred experience working with a retailer that earns over $1 billion in sales per year, and with 100 locations
  • SAP experience preferred
