Job Description

Role purpose: Vodafone Procurement & Connectivity Co. shapes and implements future-proof procurement, voice, and roaming solutions, applying pioneering digital practices to connect customers, partners, procurement, and technology experts worldwide. The VP&C Compliance & Business Integrity Lead will be responsible for devising the strategy for and managing the core risk and compliance function, driving compliance and risk management, and taking a leading role on regulatory change.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop an appropriate strategy for risk and compliance and implement the required system and programme
  • Lead the implementation and maintenance of Vodafone’s compliance management system (CMS) ensuring effective governance, management and monitoring of the CMS performance
  • Promote adherence through the programme but also through influence, advocacy, communications and training
  • Report on the adequacy of compliance and risk management programmes to relevant senior stakeholders
  • Help create and lead the development, implementation and maintenance of Vodafone’s compliance strategy and programme for VP&C so core compliance risks are adequately responded to and effectively monitored
  • Drive the awareness of core compliance management obligations and the Code of Conduct across VP&C
  • Develop comprehensive compliance reports for stakeholders including Risk Committee & Audit Committee
  • Develop and continuous evolve the appropriate responses to existing and emerging compliance risks

Requirements

  • At least 5 years senior experience in compliance, risk, assurance or similar
  • Senior level credibility, with gravitas and presence to influence and build rapport with board members, CEOs, Function Heads, and SME teams
  • Proven track record of compliance / risk management delivery and strong commercial understanding
  • Understanding of supply chain and roaming risks
  • Proven problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to lead a team and to act as role model
