Job Responsibility

  • Business Strategy & Expansion: Partner with senior management to define, execute, and monitor strategic priorities for the APAC Equities platform, driving market entry, new product rollouts, and trading capability developments
  • Governance & Risk Framework: Maintain a robust control environment supporting daily trading activities, monitoring market, operational, and conduct risks while ensuring alignment with internal policies and regulatory frameworks
  • Project & Change Execution: Lead complex, cross-functional projects spanning Front Office and Technology to upgrade trading platforms and electronic infrastructure from ideation through to Business-as-Usual (BAU) transition
  • Stakeholder Management: Serve as the core interface between the Equities business and global corporate support functions, facilitating cross-regional coordination across Asia, Japan, EMEA, and the Americas
  • Run-the-Bank (RTB) Support: Provide day-to-day operational support to trading desks, coordinating responses and post-incident remediation for system outages, credit risk events, and regulatory escalations
  • Performance Insight: Deliver data-driven insights and management reporting on business performance, resource allocation, and risk exposures to advise senior executive decision-making

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 to 7+ years of experience in Equities, Global Markets, or Business Management within a reputable investment banking environment is highly preferred
  • Proven track record in delivering complex, end-to-end strategic initiatives and managing cross-functional front-to-back projects
  • Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks, supervisory structures, and risk management (market, operational, and conduct risk) within trading businesses
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-border teams and head-office frameworks
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to operate effectively amidst competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluency in English is required
  • professional proficiency in Japanese or Mandarin is an advantage to facilitate cross-regional stakeholder management
