Job Description

Volunteer Opportunity - No Interest Loans Officer. Northern Rivers Community Gateway (NRCG) is seeking a Volunteer NILs Officer to support our Financial Inclusion programs. The NILs (No Interest Loans Scheme) offers people on low incomes safe and affordable access to credit over a range of periods. As a volunteer, you will work as part of a team within our Financial Inclusion programs, supporting the NILs Team in day-to-day operations, while reporting to the Manager – Wellbeing & Inclusion.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist clients with loan applications and follow-ups
  • Maintain client records and program databases
  • Ensure compliance with operational and funding guidelines
  • Promote the NILs program and other NRCG services

Requirements

  • Understanding of people on low incomes
  • Relevant experience or qualifications for administrative and client support
  • Ability to meet targets and work flexibly
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, databases)

Nice to have

  • Experience in microfinance or loan programs
  • NSW Driver’s Licence
