We are here to announce that our Bipolar Discussion Group On Facebook, which has more than 3000 members, is growing rapidly. This group is a support space for people affected by mental illness, as well as for their loved ones and those who want to know more. To continue to provide a safe and caring environment, we are looking for volunteer moderators. The work is not paid because it is for the benefit of the association “Les Éstages de l'Espoir”.

Job Responsibility:

  • Accept subscription requests: Ensure that new members meet the admission criteria
  • Respond to member questions: Provide quality information and support
  • Conflict moderation: Intervening in a neutral and caring manner to resolve disputes
  • Attendance at meetings: Participate in occasional meetings with association members to discuss best practices and possible improvements

Requirements:

  • Empathy and caring: A natural ability to understand and support others
  • Good communication: Clarity, patience and diplomacy in written exchanges
  • Commitment: A willingness to contribute regularly and consistently
  • Knowledge of psychological disorders (a plus): Personal or professional experience in the field is an asset
