Job Description

We are looking for volunteers to support our fundraising team by researching potential major donors within our local community. This role will help strengthen our understanding of individuals who may wish to support Isabel Hospice and play an important part in growing our philanthropy programme.

Job Responsibility

  • Carry out online research to identify potential major donors
  • Use publicly available sources such as Google and the Charity Commission website
  • Gather relevant information on individuals, businesses, and charitable interests
  • Record findings clearly using spreadsheets provided
  • Support the fundraising team in building prospect profiles
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle information sensitively

Requirements

  • At least 18 years old
  • Live within an easy commute to the area
  • Interested in volunteering for at least 6 months for at least 3 hours per week
  • Good attention to detail
  • Confident using the internet for research
  • Basic spreadsheet or data entry skills
  • Organised and able to work independently
  • Comfortable handling information in a professional and confidential manner
  • Previous research or administrative experience is helpful but not essential
  • Enjoy working in a team environment
  • Enjoy working with the public
  • Good organisational skills
  • Demonstrate and keen to develop good customer care skills
  • Security conscious
