Job Description:

Come join our team working to help change the lives of some of the most vulnerable people in society. We are looking for a Volunteer Handyperson to help support a smooth transition for service users as they move into their new accommodation.

Job Responsibility:

Lifting, carrying, and transporting items in a safe manner
Completing general handyperson tasks such as installing shelving and general maintenance tasks
Sharing knowledge of general maintenance with service users to empower them to do it themselves going forward

Requirements:

Be at least 18 years old
Be able to get to travel around the Swindon area
Be computer literate to be able to complete any online training
Commitment - Ad hoc – as and when required
Be willing to have an enhanced DBS check
Have knowledge and understanding of human trafficking issues or willingness to learn
Have knowledge and understanding of mental health conditions or willingness to learn
Have an understanding of the importance of professional boundaries in the role
Have the ability to maintain confidentiality
Having a driving licence, use of your own vehicle which is in good condition and insurance which covers volunteer usage is essential
