Job Description:

Volunteer Events Supporters are the heroes who make fundraising events possible for Derian House Children's Hospice. They help with various tasks to bring events to life and make a real difference to the lives of babies, children, young people, and families.

Job Responsibility:

  • Meeting and greeting participants
  • Helping set up and clear down
  • Supporting stewarding tasks such as car parking or giving directions
  • Handing out refreshments
  • Selling raffle tickets and merchandise

Requirements:

  • Minimum age of 16 years
  • Enjoy chatting with people
  • Flexible and happy to volunteer outdoors
  • Love working as part of a team
  • Dress appropriately for conditions and task
  • May need to bring own catering

  • Responsible for building volunteer capacity through the planning, coordination and implementation of MADD’s Driven to Save Lives volunteer program at the State and Local level
  • Work with staff and volunteers, providing direction and coordination for all volunteer functions
  • Develop community relationships to promote volunteer opportunities within MADD
  • With staff input, regularly conduct mission specific needs assessments in support of the various areas of operations including but not limited to - victim services, programs and fundraising events/walk events
