Job Description:

Volunteer Events Supporters are the heroes who make fundraising events possible for Derian House Children's Hospice. They help bring events to life through various roles, making a real difference to the lives of the babies, children, young people, and families supported by the hospice.

Job Responsibility:

  • Meeting and greeting participants
  • Helping set up and clear down
  • Supporting stewarding tasks such as car parking or giving directions
  • Handing out refreshments
  • Selling raffle tickets and merchandise
  • Car park marshaling
  • Serving refreshments
  • Collecting donations

Requirements:

  • Minimum age of 16 years
  • Enjoy chatting with people
  • Flexible and happy to volunteer outdoors
  • Love working as part of a team
  • Dress appropriately for conditions and task
  • May need to bring own catering

  • Responsible for building volunteer capacity through the planning, coordination and implementation of MADD’s Driven to Save Lives volunteer program at the State and Local level
  • Work with staff and volunteers, providing direction and coordination for all volunteer functions
