Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the delivery of volunteer support across British Cycling’s officials, ensuring a high-quality experience for all volunteers
  • Lead the process of appointing commissaires to all National and International events on the British Cycling calendar for all disciplines
  • Support the Commissaire & Referee’s commission
  • Develop and implement initiatives to recruit, retain, and recognise volunteers, with a focus on inclusion and diversity
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to volunteers
  • Contribute to the development of digital tools and platforms that enhance volunteer engagement and experience
  • Coordinate training and development opportunities to build volunteer confidence and capability
  • Create and maintain resources and toolkits to support volunteers and programme delivery
  • Build regional connections and support networks to strengthen local volunteer engagement
  • Gather feedback and insight to inform planning and improve volunteer programmes
  • Promote British Cycling’s programmes and opportunities to encourage national volunteer involvement
  • Represent British Cycling externally, building relationships with stakeholders and partners to grow volunteer participation
